GIS SERVICES - MUNICIPAL GIS (mGIS)
Providing municipal services to the growing population is becoming increasingly difficult. mGIS provides crucial planning input for infrastructure planning, land use planning, Water Distribution and planning, town development and planning. mGIS assist and eligible for central assistance under the sub-mission Urban Infrastructure and Governance.
In the light of initiatives taken by the Central Government, ULBs basic services to the millions of citizens need integration to enhance service delivery mechanism and citizen interface for sustained improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of ULBs. Today ULBs are expected to become self governing units with complete transparency and accountability through modern financial management system and automation of all functions, better control on revenues and expenditures. For cost and time optimization, e-governance models need to be implemented for the core functions of ULBs.
To provide better services and to improve internal efficiency of all the ULBs, JPAC has developed a GIs based mGIS Suite which has end-to-end solutions for ULBs like Property and Water Tax Management | Birth/Death Registration| Civil Engineering| Town Planning| Management of Licenses | Grievances Handling | HR | Double Entry Accounting System | Solid Waste Management System | e-Procurement | Project Management System | Integrated Portal.
